Environment and sustainability experts to gather in Aberdeen for milestone event

29/09/2022

A conference focused on bringing together industry professionals to promote sustainable change across the energy sector will be held in Aberdeen next week.

The annual event, organised by the E-Reps Network, is expected to attract a wide number of oil and gas industry professionals, who will gather to take part in a series of discussion forums on the crucial role of environmental and sustainability management.

This year’s conference, called Insights 10:10 to mark 10 years since the event was first held in Aberdeen, will welcome a host of major companies including Osso, ASCO, Phoenix Decom, JNCC and Carbon Zero, who have signed up to exhibit at the event.

The conference acts as a focal point in the drive towards a more sustainable future for the oil and gas sector and will encourage engagement between operators, regulators, industry groups and NGO’s, the workforce and supply chain.

This year’s keynote speaker will be Adam Smith, founder of The Real Junk Food Project, a multi-award-winning global initiative that uses food that would otherwise have been discarded from supermarkets and restaurants to produce food for people who need it.

Jill Butler Rennie, E-Reps Director, said:
“We are delighted to be able to host a face-to-face networking event with Insights 10:10, where attendees will hear from industry experts and peers discussing ideas and strategies that we can all follow to reduce our environmental impacts.

“The conference aims to spark discussion on the latest in environmental technology and innovation in the energy industry. Our mission is to move away from the old mindsets of simply ‘greening up’ business by driving change and focusing on inspiring real, sustainable change across the supply chain.

“This year’s event celebrates 10 years of the E-Reps Network delivering environmental solutions to the oil and gas sector and we look forward to inspiring sustainable change in the race to Net Zero.”

E-Reps 2022 is sponsored by Osso, 6 Engineering and Kelvin TOP-SET. Key presentations will also be given by representatives from OEUK, BEIS, Serica Energy, Osso, Salus Technical and Asco, while Kelvin TOP-SET will run an incident investigation workshop.

The conference will be held in Aberdeen’s Sandman Hotel on Wednesday, October 5th, from 9am to 4pm. For tickets, click here.
