Enauta contracts rig for additional drilling of two wells in the Atlanta field, Brazil

09/03/2022

Enauta reports that the Alpha Star drilling rig contract extension has been confirmed to execute the additional drilling of two wells for Atlanta’s Full Development System.

Located in the Block BS-4, in the Santos Basin, the Atlanta Field is operated by Enauta Energia, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company, which holds 100% working interest in this asset.

Enauta is one of the leading private companies in the exploration and production sector in Brazil. The Company has a balanced asset portfolio spread through the Brazilian coast, and two producing assets: its 45%-owned Manati Field, one of the main suppliers of gas to the Northeast region of Brazil; and the Atlanta Field, located in the deep waters of the Santos Basin, where it is the operator, with a 100% ownership stake.

Atlanta

Located in Block BS-4, in the Santos Basin, 185 km off the Brazilian coast, with total oil volume estimated at 2.1 billion barrels, Atlanta was Enauta's second farm-in agreement after their IPO in 2011. With an investment of US$157.5 million, Enauta acquired a 30% interest in the Block as well as its operation.

The field began producing oil in May 2018; and taking into consideration the two producing wells equipped with wet Christmas trees and submarine centrifugal submersible pumps, current average production is estimated at 13 kbpd.

In June 2021, Enauta secured 100% W.I in the Atlanta Field.
