Neptune Energy and Equinor granted consent for exploration drilling

Norway's Petroleum Safety Authority has given Neptune Energy consent for exploration drilling in Block 35/9 in the North Sea. Well 35/9-16 and 35/9-16 A will be drilled to test the Hamlet prospect in production licence PL 153.

The well is scheduled to take 53 days and will be drilled by the Deepsea Yantai.

In addition, Equinor has been granted consent for exploration drilling in Block 6407/1 in the Norwegian Sea. Well 6407/1-8 S will be drilled to test the Appolonia prospect in production licence PL 263.

The well is scheduled to take 54 days and will be drilled by the West Hercules.
