Case Study: Transport of Heavy Oil Rig Equipment to Singapore

CASE STUDY: TRANSPORT OF HEAVY OIL RIG EQUIPMENT TO SINGAPORE

Heavy-lift experts from Bertling Logistics in Singapore successfully transported a Ram Rig Hoisting Yoke and X-Mas Tree Trolley & BOP trolley Rack & Pinion from Poland via Hamburg to Singapore. The heaviest cargo weighed 91 tonnes, while the largest cargo measured 10.8m x 8.9m x 3.8m.

This project encompassed the transport of about 200 tonnes of cargoes for which Bertling handled the pre-carriage from the factory to Gdynia Port including loading via floating crane onto the coastal vessel for a voyage from Poland to Hamburg. Moreover, Bertling arranged for the overside loading onto the heavy-lift vessel for a voyage from Hamburg to Singapore, the overside discharging from a vessel onto a barge in Singapore as well as the on-carriage from Jurong Port to the project site yard.
