27 people killed and injured in Russian attack on market and crude oil refineries, north-east of Aleppo

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has documented further casualties as a result of the Russian attack on a market and primitive oil refineries in north-eastern countryside of Aleppo, two days ago.

Th death toll has risen to seven civilians, all of whom were killed in rocket attack fired by Russian forces stationed in Hmeimim base, on a market and primitive oil refineries in the village of Al-Kusa near the city of Jarabulus in the areas controlled by Turkish-backed factions, north-east of Aleppo.

The death toll is expected to rise further, as 20 people were injured, some seriously.

Two day ago, SOHR sources reported explosions in the north-eastern Aleppo countryside, as a result of high-explosive rockets fired by the Russian base “Hmeimim”, targeting oil market and primitive refineries in the village of Al-Kusa near the town of Jarabulus in Aleppo countryside

The attack left three people dead and 18 injured and caused significant material damage.

At the end of 2019, the Syrian Observatory monitored airstrikes by Russian jets targeting oil refineries in Tarhin, Kusa and Tel Shair in rural Jarabulus and Al-Bab, northeast of Aleppo, within areas controlled by Turkish-backed factions in the north-eastern Aleppo countryside.

The airstrikes were coordinated with the Turkish government and left eight unidentified people dead.
