Signing of a Production Sharing Contract on the Yoyo block, Cameroon

The Executive General Manager of the National Hydrocarbons Corporation (SNH), Mr. Adolphe MOUDIKI, and the Vice-President of Noble Energy Cameroon Ltd, Mrs. Kelly Latter, signed a Production Sharing Contract (PSC) for the Yoyo block on 1st June 2017 at the SNH head office in Yaoundé.

Yoyo gas field development in view

Yoyo block is located offshore in the Douala/KribiCampo basin and covers a surface area of more than 679 square kilometers.

The geological and geophysical studies, as well as seismic acquisitions and drilling operations conducted in the past, on the surface area covered by this block, revealed hydrocarbons resources in place estimated at a minimum of 47 billion cubic meters of natural gas and 18 million barrels of condensate.

The Yoyo Production Sharing Contract is valid for a period of 25 years, renewable once for 10 years.

The negotiations leading to the signing of the Contract were conducted, for the Cameroonian Party, by a team of experts comprising representatives of Ministries in charge of Mines, Energy, Finance, Economy, Trade and Environment, as well as the National Hydrocarbons Corporation; and for Noble Energy Cameroon Ltd, by a delegation led by its Vice President Mrs. Kelly Latter
