Luany Dantas, Naval Architect and Marine Engineer based in OWC's Brazil office, is one of the 15 women selected by Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) and Global Women’s Network for the Energy Transition (GWNET) to participate in the Women in Wind Global Leadership Program 2021.
The Women in Wind Global Leadership Program is designed to accelerate the careers of women in the wind industry, support their pathway to leadership positions and foster a global network of mentorship, knowledge-sharing and empowerment.
“We are delighted that Luany, who leads our offshore wind engagement for OWC in Brazil, was selected to participate in the Women in Wind Global Leadership Program”, says William Cleverly, head of AqualisBraemar LOC’s offshore wind group company OWC. “At the AqualisBraemar LOC group, we believe that gender diversity drives innovation and provides a richer pool of talent for key and emerging industries, so we offer equal work and career development opportunities for all.”
With the number of applications doubling compared to last year and as wind power continues to grow into new and existing markets, it is imperative that all key players combine their efforts for diversity and inclusion to shape the energy workforce of the future, that will drive innovation and accelerate the energy transition.
