Outgoing UK Ambassador meets Libyan Delegation

Earlier this month, at the headquarters of the National Oil Corporation in the Libyan capital, Tripoli, the Chairman of the Board, Mustafa Sanalla, received the United Kingdom Ambassador to Libya Nicholas Hopton and his accompanying delegation, during his final visit on the occasion of the end of his tenure as an ambassador to Libya.

For his part, His Excellency Ambassador Nicholas Hopton praised the wise management of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Oil Corporation, Mustafa Sanalla, stressing that the most prominent reason behind the stability that Libya is witnessing at the present time is the cohesion of the oil sector, which reflected positively on the return of stability in the country, being the first and last supporter.

He also stressed the great desire of the United Kingdom to invest in Libya, through joint cooperation between the National Oil Corporation and its companies with companies operating in the oil and energy field in Britain.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Chairman of the Board, Eng. Mustafa Sanalla, expressed his sincere thanks and praise to His Excellency Ambassador Hopton for his distinguished and constructive cooperation throughout his tenure, wishing him all success in his new mission outside Libya.

He also stressed that the National Oil Corporation is looking forward to developing ways of joint cooperation with British companies, Working in the field of oil and energy, to develop the Libyan oil sector, and open the door for investment in the interest of both countries, and move the wheel of development in Libya.
