The Saudi Arabian National Center for Environmental Compliance (NCEC) has awarded a multi-year contract to three of VOS Genoa’s anchor-handling tug supply (AHTS) vessels.
VOS Athos, VOS Hestia and VOS Thalassa recently commenced operations in the Red Sea area, to the West of Saudi Arabia, where they are providing oil-spill response capabilities. One of the world’s busiest sea routes, this absolutely pristine environment could suffer irreparable damage in the event of a major oil spill. Increasing abilities to respond to any such incidents is a key mission of the Saudi Arabian NCEC and the Kingdom’s Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture.
