Affordable clean energy is one of the key sustainable development goals of the United Nations. With a move to low carbon and renewable energy, universities are identifying the need to build the next generation of geoscientist practitioners equipped to meet the challenges of the energy transition.
Geoscientists have a key role to play in helping to deliver this and their skills and expertise will be required in a range of sectors. In order to train the next generation of energy-focussed geoscientists, The University of Manchester has launched a new MSc in Geoscience for Sustainable Energy.
