Velesto Energy Berhad (“VEB”) has received a Letter of Award from PETRONAS Carigali Sdn. Bhd. (“PCSB”), for the provision of jack-up drilling rig services. 

The Contract is for services of jack-up rig, NAGA 2, with an estimated Contract value of USD12.4 million.

Subsea 7  announced the award of a major contract (defined as being over $750 million)  that will be recorded in the backlog of the Subsea and Conventional business unit in the third quarter.

The award extends the engineering, project management and procurement scope of the contract announced on 12 March 2021. The scope of work includes the provision and installation of infield flowlines, control umbilicals, tie-in connections, associated subsea equipment, a gas export pipeline and a monoethylene glycol injection pipeline.

Wood continues to expand its operations in the Southern North Sea with the award of a new operations and maintenance contract with Shell UK (SNS) and Nederlandse Aardolie Maatschappij (NAM).

Oil Plus Ltd has secured a number of significant international contract awards totalling more than £1.5million in the first half of this year, signalling that it is on track to increase its revenues by 50% and meet its conservative £4.75million growth target by 2023. 

The Newbury (Berkshire, UK) headquartered business, which also has an office in Aberdeen, has signed deals including a 12-month production chemistry agreement with a North Sea FPSO operator worth a seven-figure sum, a chemical testing project for Vedanta (Cairn India) in India, and a water injectivity study for SNEPCO, the operating arm of Shell in Nigeria.

As part of the Frame Agreement between Aker BP and Solstad Offshore, the companies have entered into a new contract for the PSV Far Solitaire. The new contract is for 3 years firm + 6 yearly options and will commence in direct continuation of the current contract, keeping the vessel fully utilized to 4Q 2024.

CGG announced the award to Sercel of a major contract to supply land seismic equipment for a 3D mega-crew survey in North Africa. It includes a 508XT acquisition system with 100,000 QuietSeis® digital sensors and a fleet of twenty Nomad 90 Neo broadband vibrator trucks. The equipment is expected to be delivered in Q4 2021.

Xinjiang Goldwind Technology signed the Zophia 337.5MW and the Ochakov 288MW wind power project in Ukraine. Two successive deals marked Goldwind’s major breakthrough in Ukraine, making it a frontrunner in the local market.

Building on a framework agreement signed in 2017, Vestas has received an order totalling 253 MW for four separate projects in Russia from Wind Energy Development Fund (WEDF), a joint investment fund created by OOO Fortum Energy and RUSNANO. 

PGS has secured a 3D acquisition contract by ExxonMobil for work offshore Suriname. Ramform Tethys is scheduled to commence acquisition during Q4 2021, and it is planned to complete in Q1 2022.

VENSYS has received an order from CEF for the delivery of wind turbines, thus successfully entering the Japanese market.

The "Tsuyama“ wind farm comprises 16 gearless wind turbines, type Vensys 115, 4.1 MW, with a hub height of 72.0 m. 

ChampionX Corporation through its subsidiary ChampionX Norge AS has been awarded a five-year contract, with two additional two-year extension options, to deliver production specialty chemicals and management services to all Vår Energi assets as the business progresses with its CO2 emissions reduction strategy across its operations. 

Petrofac has been awarded a new multi-million dollar contract by Tatweer Petroleum to support their gas distribution network project in Bahrain.

The Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning (EPCC) scope of work includes high pressure gas pipelines and fibre optic cabling. The underground pipelines will run through sections onshore and offshore below the seabed in support of gas supply to the Kingdom and will be designed for full interchangeability.

Valaris has been awarded a contract with TAQA offshore the Netherlands for VALARIS JU-123, a heavy-duty harsh environment jackup. The contract is expected to commence in the fourth quarter of 2021 with an estimated minimum duration of 60 days.

Shelf Drilling has received an award for a three-year contract for the Parameswara jackup rig with Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) for operations in the Mumbai High, offshore India. The planned start-up of operations is Q1 2022.

DOF ASA's Brazilian subsidiary Norskan has been awarded a new long-term contract and extended another one with Petrobras.

Skandi Botafogo, (AHTS 180 t BP) has been awarded a 3-year contract with Petrobras to operate as AHTS with startup in 4th quarter 2021 and 500 optional days to be mutually agreed.

Subsea 7 announced the award of a contract by Aker BP for the front-end engineering and design (FEED) study for the NOA Fulla development project, offshore Norway. NOA Fulla is located in the southern part of the NOAKA area in the Norwegian North Sea. 

Tendeka has secured more than $30million USD worth of international contracts within the last quarter which will cover the next three years.

In addition to this unplanned revenue, the company has won long-term work with operators for its swellable packers and sand and inflow control technologies across key energy hubs, including the North Sea, Australasia and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).  

Tendeka is also delivering its first significant FloSure autonomous inflow control devices (AICDs) campaign in the United States, following a successful trial earlier this year. 

Halliburton has been awarded an integrated services contract to execute a three to five well drilling and completions campaign for Energean, an independent E&P company focused on developing resources in the Mediterranean and the North Sea. The work follows a successful four well offshore drilling campaign that Halliburton previously executed in the Karish and Karish North gas fields.

McDermott's Amazon vessel, following a sophisticated upgrade to its ultra-deepwater capabilities, is coming to the Gulf of Mexico to support a subsea contract for the Whale Development in Alaminos Canyon.

Under the contract's scope, McDermott will provide engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning (EPCIC) for 30 miles (50 kilometers) of pipeline and approximately nine miles (15 kilometers) of umbilical to connect five drill centers to a new offshore platform. The project will commence immediately and is expected to be completed in 2024.

Engineering services provider Atteris announced that Australian energy company Santos has awarded it the subsea FEED for the Dorado development. The field is located within the Bedout Sub-basin, some 150 km north of Port Hedland, Western Australia, in a water depth of approximately 95 metres.

The engineering design work will include flow assurance definition and design of the subsea system connecting the wellhead platform to the FPSO including the flexible flowlines, dynamic risers and a mid-water arch structure.

Aker Solutions has been awarded a large (between NOK 1.2 billion and NOK 2.0 billion) topside modification contract by ConocoPhillips Skandinavia AS for Tommeliten Alpha, offshore Norway. Combined with previous subsea contracts for this field development, the contract award means Aker Solutions has been assigned an integrated responsibility for this field development.

The topside modification contract award follows final investment decision by the license partners and the completion of the front-end engineering and design (FEED) work, awarded in October 2020. The scope includes engineering, procurement, construction, and installation (EPCI) work for topside modifications on some Ekofisk installations, to tie-back and integrate the Tommeliten Alpha field development to the existing infrastructure.

Penspen have recorded a highly successful year to date in the Middle East and Africa with a strong performance forecast for the rest of the year. 

The company’s Project Management Consultancy (PMC) service line has secured more than $50 million from five new, long-term contracts from ADNOC, ADNOC Onshore, ADNOC Offshore and ADOC during 2021. The Engineering Project Consultancy (EPC) projects being executed under Penspen’s PMC supervision will support the achievement of ADNOC’s 2030 integrated strategy goals. 

The US Geological Survey (USGS) has awarded Fugro a new Geospatial Products and Services Contract (GPSC) to support the National Geospatial Program (NGP), which provides a digital foundation for geospatial infrastructure in the US. 

Ardyne has been awarded a contract by for the provision of fishing services for 86 wells as part of the well plug and abandonment (P&A) programme for two fields in the Northern North Sea.

Work has commenced and is expected to last up to four years across two assets. The work will involve Ardyne’s leading TRIDENT and TITAN P&A technologies, with the company investing approximately £2.6 million in brand new industry first fully traceable (NS-1)  fishing and milling tools.

Sembcorp Marine, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Sembcorp Marine Rigs & Floaters Pte Ltd, has secured an exclusive contract from Altera Infrastructure GP LLC, to undertake the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) work for the Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) facility for the Dorado project.

Located in the Bedout Sub-basin, offshore Western Australia, Dorado is an integrated oil and gas project which is expected to have an initial oil production of 75,000 to 100,000 barrels per day, with subsequent development of significant gas resources. Operated by Australian energy company, Santos Ltd, Dorado will be one of the lowest emission intensity oil and gas projects in the region, given its very low CO₂ reservoir with approximately 1.5 per cent CO₂ and plans for the reinjection of gas in the initial phase.

Global Offshore, a leading provider of cable installation, repair and trenching services to the offshore renewables, utilities and oil & gas markets, and part of the Global Marine Group, has been awarded a contract for the installation and burial of 27 array cables at Parkwind’s Arcadis Ost 1 offshore wind farm.

The scope of work will see Global Offshore carry out the project management and marine engineering; cable protection systems supply and installation, pre and post lay surveys, cable loading and laying, cable burial and post-burial survey. As part of the turnkey package, Global Offshore’s sister company, OceanIQ, will provide route engineering services for the project, with another of Global Offshore’s sister companies, CWind, providing crew transfer vessels and cable pull-in services.

Global Offshore will be utilising two of Global Marine Group’s versatile cable ships, Normand Clipper and Global Symphony, with work at the site commencing in the second half of 2022.

The Saudi Arabian National Center for Environmental Compliance (NCEC) has awarded a multi-year contract to three of Vroon Offshore Services Genoa’s anchor-handling tug supply (AHTS) vessels.

Solstad Offshore has announced multiple new medium-term contracts in West Africa. Letter of Agreements have been signed with key clients for 7 PSVs, all with commencement Q4 2021 / Q1 2022. The total firm duration of the contracts is approximately 1,000 vessel days with options to extend the contracts further.

Petrofac has secured a contract valued at over US$100 million with Zallaf Libya Oil & Gas Exploration and Production Company, to deliver their Erawin Field Development Project Phase 1 Early Production Facilities.

The Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning (EPCC) scope of work encompasses surface equipment, including well pads and flowlines at the Erawin oil field, located in southwest Libya. 

In partnership with Tilt Renewables, which is now part of the leading Australian renewable energy generator Powering Australian Renewables (PowAR), Vestas has secured a 396 MW contract for Rye Park Wind Farm in New South Wales, Australia. As the second project in Asia Pacific to feature the EnVentus platform, Vestas will supply and install 66 V162-6.2 MW wind turbines in 6.0 MW operating mode for the project. 

Together with RES in Australia, Vestas has secured a 181 MW deal for Dulacca Wind Farm in Queensland, Australia. The project will feature 43 V150-4.2 MW wind turbines which Vestas will supply and install.

CGX Resources, operator and joint venture partner with Frontera Energy Guyana Corp has exercised an option to drill one additional exploration well offshore Guyana. The work is expected to commence in the first half of 2022 in direct continuation of the semi-submersible rig Maersk Discoverer’s contract with Shell Trinidad. With this option called, Maersk Discoverer is fully booked throughout 2021 and part of 2022.
