GeoPartners offer large 14,000 sqkm 3D seismic survey in the Keta Basin

10/11/2021

Through our local Ghanaian JV, TG-GeoPartners, and in partnership with the Petroleum Commission, Ghana, GeoPartners Ltd are pleased to offer a large 14,000 sqkm 3D seismic survey in the Keta Basin.

There are multiple play types to explore in the Keta Basin, and amplitudes of existing legacy 2D seismic data over the region show conformance of brightening in both structural and stratigraphic traps.

The Jubilee field, discovery in 2007 is a late Cretaceous combination structural-stratigraphic trap associated with topography created by the transform tectonics during the opening of the Atlantic. The Keta Basin has all the same elements and with better seismic imaging that the new survey will provide could hold the same potential.
