UK innovators can now apply for ORE Catapult's industry-backed national technology accelerator programme, designed to support the commercialisation of new technologies that will enhance the UK's offshore wind supply chain, enabling greater UK content, whilst supporting cost reduction. 

The Launch Academy is a national technology accelerator programme for the offshore wind industry, focusing on near to market solutions. It is designed to enhance the UK’s offshore wind supply chain, enable greater UK content and support cost reduction through innovation.

The programme provides the complete ecosystem to support the commercialisation of ambitious companies launching new products and services in the sector. ORE Catapult has brought technology development and business support under one roof, allowing companies to access its own in-house technical capability alongside a range of business growth expertise from our partners.

The programme will take one cohort per year of nine companies, offering legal, marketing, accountancy, IP, HR and investor readiness support as well as modules delivered by ORE Catapult such as technology assessment, export market introductions, supply chain readiness and business case review.

Through our industry partners , we provide applicants with unique access to market leading end users. At the end of each cohort, the innovators will pitch to the industry partners and ORE Catapult’s network of investors.

Success of the programme will be measured by the number of innovative solutions securing contracts, demonstrators or R&D partnerships with end users as well as the number and scale of investments.
