Each year in January, NPD host "The Shelf" event, which is a presentation of the previous year on the Norwegian shelf – and a bit about the years to come.

Thursday, 13 January 2022, is the big day, and The Shelf 2021 will be the kick-off for the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate's 50th anniversary.

Presentation and conversation

The event will start with Director General Ingrid Sølvberg giving a summary of the Shelf in 2021 and presenting forecasts for e.g. exploration, production and investments over the next few years.

Then attendees will be invited to a conversation between Sølvberg and some other representatives from the NPD, who will take a detailed look at the presented data and other relevant topics.

There will be an opportunity to ask questions.

Where and when

The Shelf in 2021 will take place on Thursday, 13 January 2022 from 10:00-11:30 at our offices at Ullandhaug in Stavanger. The event will be streamed live and later published on our website.

Time has also been allocated until 14:00 for one-to-one interviews with the Director General and management in the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate.
