MAATS has signed contracts, and commenced engineering, for the supply of major Front End Engineering Design (FEED) with UK HVDC cable manufacturer, XLCC.  

The contract is sentiment to MAATS significant and well recognised experience in the supply of carousel engineering design.  With a track record of quality, reliable design and impactful engineering; MAATS designed equipment can be identified on a large number of vessels in operation today.

While MAATS history is predominately found offshore, our unique approach to Carousel design founded within this sector has allowed us to conceptualise, innovate and work towards a truly bespoke land-based vision for XLCC.  

In the past 5 years it became obvious that the needs of the industry are changing and MAATS responded by investing heavily in the research and development of its core supply components whilst concentrating on generating new and mission critical equipment to aid the growth of a sustainable energy source. 

XLCC is establishing a new, export-led, HVDC subsea cable manufacturing industry in the UK with development of new factory operations, providing the connectivity required for renewable power to meet future global energy needs.

MAATS will provide design options for a selection of carousels of varying capacities and functions as part of the infrastructure of the factory.
