Young Professionals Summit (YPS) 2018

28/08/2018

Introducing the first Young Professionals Summit (YPS) 2018. This event is a unique event for the industry and we would love you to be involved. Following the 2014 downturn, young professionals (YPs) in the oil and gas industry have had to deal with fewer job opportunities and more restrictive regulations while facing great technical challenges in efficiency and unconventional resources. At the same time demand for reliable energy continues to increase and new innovations add to the wealth of knowledge required.

Young professionals face unique challenges which this event aims to address. By collaborating, the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG), the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE), the Petroleum Exploration Society of Great Britain (PESGB) and the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) are working together to support and motivate young professionals. Our program is developed by YPs from the societies involved to address the challenges and innovations the industries future leaders face.
This event will take place the day before PETEX and joint tickets for both events will be available for purchase from the 16th of September.

OUR VISION: To integrate, empower and transform the new generation of energy professionals for an optimistic future.

OUR MISSION: To create a conference promoting cross discipline collaboration and industry exchange of ideas and technologies with a focus to equip young professionals for a sustainable career in the industry.

THE EVENT: This one day summit will take place at 65 Queen’s Gate, Baden-Powell House, London, SW7 5JS. Here we will be taking advantage of this modern venue to host a variety of keynote presentations and interactive sessions. The event will be from 09:00 till 17:00 followed by a networking drinks reception.

SPONSORING: The YPS offers excellent sponsoring opportunities to create high visibility. For more information about sponsoring please refer to the sponsor guide on the website or contact us via pesgb@pesgb.org.uk
