Enwell reports partial restart of production operations in Ukraine

Enwell Energy has advised that, further to the announcement made on 24 February 2022, it has partially restarted production operations in Ukraine at a production rate of approx. 1,600 barrels of oil equivalent per day, with production expected to be maintained at around this level for the immediate future. However, production operations are likely to be intermittent depending on circumstances in the country.

The Company is taking all measures available to protect and safeguard its personnel and business, and has implemented its emergency response measures following the military action taken by Russia against Ukraine. The safety and wellbeing of its personnel and contractors is paramount and the Company will continue to take all possible steps to ensure their safety.

Ukraine operations 

Enwell Energy holds two licences in the Poltava region, with large gas and condensate reserves and very large potential resources of Unconventional gas.

Enwell hold a 100% working interest in and are the operator of the Mekhedivsko-Golotvshchinske (MEX-GOL) and Svyrydivske (SV) fields. The production licences were granted to the company in July 2004 for 20 years, and before 2024 the special permits for the license areas should be extended under their priority right. The anticipated lifecycle reaches to 2042, following the production forecast made in the D&M appraisal report (2018).

The two licences, located in Ukraine’s Poltava region, are adjacent and extend over a combined area of 269 km², approximately 200km east of Kyiv and 170km north-west of Poltava.
