Seadrill Partners LLC has secured a one well contract with multiple options with ExxonMobil Canada, Ltd., for the West Aquarius in Canada. Backlog for the firm portion of the contract is expected to be approximately $24 million and commencement is expected between May and July 2019.
West Aquarius is a semi-submersible drilling rig of a GVA 7500 design. It was built in 2009 by South Korea’s Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) shipyard.
