GeoClerk teams up with SEAPEX

12/09/2022

Searcher Seismic, a leading service provider of global multi-client geoscience data and technology applications, today announced a new GeoClerk partnership with the South East Asia Petroleum Exploration Society (SEAPEX).

SEAPEX is a non-profit organisation which was established in 1973 to promote awareness and advance the science of geology and related Earth Sciences, with particular emphasis on petroleum and natural gas exploration, development and production in Southeast Asia. The SEAPEX technical archive comprises 49 years of conference proceedings and articles, all of which is now discoverable through GeoClerk, an advanced web-based geological-imagery search engine.

In line with the growing list of data collaborations already in place, the SEAPEX technical archive offers an invaluable source of subsurface information to GeoClerk users focused on upstream exploration within the Asia Pacific region. For GeoClerk the collaboration adds a new wealth of geological content, supporting users’ regional subsurface research, which in turn will encourage users to sign up for SEAPEX membership.

“We are very pleased to announce this collaboration in the knowledge that this partnership will make the SEAPEX Society’s data archive discoverable to all GeoClerk users and we look forward to strengthening our relationship with SEAPEX,” said General Manager of Searcher, Alan Hopping.

“It is important that the industry is aware such valuable content is available and accessible, and not lost and forgotten about,” added Ian Cross, President of SEAPEX.

Petroleum and Mining editions of GeoClerk are available for subscription with both versions offering a relevant industry and government database modules.
