Wood awarded new assignment with Wintershall in Norway

27/09/2018

Wood has secured a new call off from Wintershall to provide engineering and construction services to the Brage offshore platform, west of Bergen, Norway.

Awarded under an existing framework agreement signed in 2016, the scope of the contract includes engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning (EPCIC) associated with well hook-up on the facility.

Effective immediately, the assignment will be managed from Wood’s Bergen location, which delivered engineering and construction services for corrective maintenance during the shutdown of the Brage platform earlier this year.

Dave Stewart, CEO of Wood’s Asset Solutions business in Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia commented,
"This new call off assignment strengthens our relationship with an important customer in Norway and demonstrates Wintershall’s confidence in our offshore modifications capabilities.

Our successful track record of delivering well hook-ups on assets across the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS) combined with the extensive EPCIC experience of our teams and ability to provide robust safety and assurance, positions us ideally to deliver this contract.

Wood has decades of experience working on the NCS and this award further achieves our strategic focus on growing our foothold as a modifications service provider in Norway and Europe."
