James Hutton was a revolutionary thinker, entrepreneur and a leading figure in the 18th-century Scottish Enlightenment. His work in the field of geology led to Scotland being regarded as the birthplace of modern geology.
Aside from geology, Hutton was also a farmer, businessman, medical doctor, entrepreneur, philosopher, environmentalist & polymath. A truly remarkable man.
