Eleanor Oldham, Merlin’s Senior Geophysicist, has developed a new in-house tool for stochastically modelling column heights from pressure data. Coded in Python, this new software can be used for evaluating drilling margins, de-risking hydrocarbon column heights and screening cap-rocks at potential CCUS sites.
This new in house additional functionality will be used to help companies better understand the uncertainties on their seal risks both in oil and gas and CCS.
