Hellenic Cables awarded contract for interconnector project in the Adriatic Sea

Hellenic Cables, the cables segment of Cenergy Holdings, following the successful completion of another 110kV submarine cables contract in 2022, signed a second one with the contractor Koncar Group for the supply of approx. 30 Km 110 kV High Voltage submarine cables, accessories, and related services as part of a project by the Croatian Transmission System Operator (HOPS) to replace outdated cable lines in the Adriatic Sea.

Hellenic Cables is excited to continue being part of this strategic project in Croatia, which secures the energy supply of the islands Hvar, Korcula, Cres, and Lošinj in the Adriatic Sea while also making a significant environmental contribution by reducing the environmental footprint of the Adriatic islands.

Cables production will start in 2023 and is expected to be completed by February 2024 at Hellenic Cables’ state-of-the-art submarine cable production facility in Corinth, Greece.
