On October 3, chairman of Novatek Leonid Mikhelson and president and chairman of Siemens AG Joe Kaeser, signed an agreement on strategic partnership and cooperation.

The agreement establishes the parties' intentions to strengthen and develop their strategic partnership and cooperation on complex turnkey energy gas projects, including LNG supplies, gas processing, electricity production, natural gas liquefaction plants of small, medium and large capacity, as well as in other areas of mutual interest.

“Novatek plans to significantly increase the natural gas production and LNG production, and we are interested in developing a full value chain to increase the competitive advantages of our low-cost scalable LNG projects",  Leonid Mikhelson said. "We have successful experience with Siemens, we are a reliable supplier of equipment for our Yamal LNG project, and we are going to expand our cooperation not only in the Russian Federation, but in other countries".
