Osprey Group is offering a pioneering opportunity to embark on a career in engineering, with its new ‘Year in Industry’ internship and Graduate programme.
Osprey Group is growing and, to reflect that growth, it’s investing in people who are enthusiastic about forward-thinking engineering. The ‘Year in Industry’ internships stand out for the amount of on-site experience that interns will get over a 12-month period, and Osprey’s Graduate programmes offer unrivalled access to a breadth and depth of end-to-end engineering knowledge.
Both programmes involve working alongside an inspiring team of marine, civil and structural engineers who are charged with creating the best possible, end-to-end plans for clients in every sector. The rest of the time is invested in on-site experience, associated with specific projects either onshore or off. Interns and Graduate trainees will learn the full cycle of systems and processes, and get exposure to a wealth of equipment and engineering practices.
Wendy Kenny, Chief Operating Officer:
"We have an incredibly diverse set of skills working within each one of our business units, and these are likely to be sought-after programmes. Whether it’s the Marine Engineering Internship or Graduate Marine Engineering programme, or the General Engineering Internship or General Graduate Engineering programme – we can’t think of anyone else offering exposure to the same variety of skills in such a compact experience, but that’s a reflection of our organisation’s multi-disciplined approach.”
Applications are invited from enthusiastic mechanical, civil, or structural engineering graduates who have sound mechanical knowledge, and are excited by the idea of working in a high-pressure environment. A valid UK driving licence is necessary, as both programmes will involve working on live sites around the country. "The best solutions for our clients come from collaborative working,” says Kenny, "and anyone who joins us, either for a ‘Year in Industry’ or as a Graduate trainee, will come away with a phenomenal breadth of experience to showcase in their future career. We’ll be watching their progress carefully, it’s a unique opportunity and this is a programme that has real value.”
