RockWave, a leading provider of seismic processing and imaging services for multiple energy sectors, has been awarded a project from Equinor for their offshore wind development area, ‘Firefly Floating Wind Farm’, in South Korea.

The project involves the reprocessing of high-resolution airgun data to create a superior subsurface image, which will be used to guide the engineering ground model and WTG foundation designs, whilst reducing the risk of unforeseen ground conditions.

"We are thrilled to be working with Equinor on this important project," said Matt Swan, Managing Director of RockWave.

"Our team's expertise in seismic processing and imaging, coupled with our commitment to a sustainable energy future, makes us an ideal partner for Equinor. We are confident that our reprocessing services will help Equinor achieve its goals and contribute to the growth of the offshore wind industry in South Korea."

RockWave's seismic processing and imaging services are widely used across multiple energy sectors, including exploration targets, CO2 underground storage and overburden, shallow foundation zones, and cable routes. The company's expertise and state-of-the-art technology have earned them a reputation for delivering high-quality results and exceptional customer service.

The project with Equinor marks another significant milestone for RockWave as it continues to expand its footprint in offshore wind markets around the world.
