Wildcat Petroleum Chairman, Mandhir Singh, today provides the following 2023 first quarter company review: 

"The Company is very satisfied with the way events have transpired during the quarter. Apart from some delays caused by navigating through Sudanese bureaucracy, the Company is happy with the progress made in Khartoum.

During the quarter, the Sudanese state oil company, SUDAPET, held its Silver Jubilee celebration. Wildcat was invited as an honorary guest. This provided me with an excellent opportunity to discuss business in an informal setting with the main movers and shakers of the Sudanese oil industry.

Also, as previously announced, during the quarter, the Company signed a LOI with New Age (Africa Global Energy) Ltd, indicating its intent (subject to due diligence and final agreement) to purchase a substantial amount of drilling equipment from New Age’s Ethiopian drill site. In the following weeks an inspection team will be dispatched to inspect the equipment. It is the company’s intention to keep any equipment that might be of use to us in any future drilling activities the Company might conduct in Sudan. Equipment of no immediate use will be sold on.

During the next quarter I will be spending a significantly more amount of time in Khartoum. The objective of this will be to minimise any delays caused by Sudanese bureaucracy. Hopefully by being on the spot, any impediments to getting a deal done can be tackled head-on and straight away.
