The deal will see Langfields take up a majority equity share in the business whilst retaining the key skills of the JGC Team.

Langfields Managing Director, Neil Yates, commented:
“Langfields is undergoing significant growth driven by demand for new and clean energy sources.  The partnership with JGC brings together two of the UK’s leading manufacturers of clean energy equipment under one umbrella.  JGC has a strong reputation for quality amongst its 80-strong workforce, and we expect this will augment our own reputation as one of the UK’s largest equipment manufacturers in the new energy markets.”

JGC Managing Director, Will Campbell, welcomed the investment as a boost for the business’s growth ambitions:
“After five decades of family ownership we are certain Langfields will support JGC to grow to the next level, and provide a platform for our staff to develop. We look forward to joining one of the fastest-growing engineering groups in the UK, and welcome the exciting opportunities in providing bespoke manufacturing and engineering services to the new energy future, while continuing to provide high-quality services to our long-standing customers.”
