TPAO has reported a major oil discovery in the Cudi-Gabar region of Turkey, located 20 km north-west of Cizre and 7 km north-east of the Şehit Esma Çevik field, following drilling of the Şehit Aybüke Yalçın-1 well.
The Sehit Aybüke Yalçın-1 well entered the reservoir level at 2609 metres and drilling was completed at a depth of 2771 metres.
