Premier Corex has announced that their in-house services now include Cathodoluminescence Microscopy, thanks to the recent acquisition of their new Reliotron cold-cathode instrument. This technology will allow the company's experienced geologists to perform even more detailed cement stratigraphy, diagenetic history studies of carbonate and siliciclastic rocks, and provenance analysis of sandstones and shales, complementing their existing petrography work.
Equipped with a CITL chamber mounted on an Olympus stereo zoom microscope with digital camera and EDS detector, the company's lab technicians can provide high-quality polished samples necessary for CL analysis.
