TotalEnergies announces the Ntokon oil and gas discovery on OML102 offshore Nigeria.

Located in shallow waters, 60 km off the southeast coast of Nigeria, the Ntokon-1AX discovery well encountered 38 meters of net oil pay and 15 meters of net gas pay, while its side-track Ntokon-1G1 encountered 73 meters of net oil pay, in well-developed and excellent quality reservoirs. Ntokon-1G1 tested successfully up to a maximum rate of about 5,000 barrels per day of 40° API oil.

Located 20 km from the Ofon field facilities on OML102, Ntokon is planned to be developed through a tie-back to these existing facilities.

OML 102 is operated by TotalEnergies EP Nigeria with a 40% interest, alongside partner NNPC Ltd with the remaining 60%.

Upstream activities of TotalEnergies in Nigeria

TotalEnergies EP Nigeria Limited, TEPNG, an affiliate of TotalEnergies S.E., has operated in the upstream sector of the Nigerian hydrocarbon industry for almost 60 years and has added over 3.6 billion barrels of oil equivalent to Nigeria's production to date.

Incorporated in Nigeria in 1962, TEPNG has maintained strong and steadfast partnerships with the Nigerian Government, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and several indigenous companies, in developing the country's hydrocarbon industry.

TEPNG operates and holds a 40% interest in the NNPC/TEPNG Joint Venture, producing oil and natural gas from several onshore and shallow water concessions. TotalEnergies Gaz Electricite Holdings France (TGEHF) also has a 15% interest in Nigeria LNG, which currently operates 6 LNG liquefaction trains on Bonny Island. In addition, TEPNG has non-operated interests in the SPDC-operated joint venture (10%), the Bonga field (12.5%) and the Usan field (20%). Another TotalEnergies affiliate, TotalEnergies Upstream Nigeria Limited (TUPNI), operates the Akpo and Egina fields in OML 130 deepwater lease.
