Engage PR announces director appointment

Engage PR business director James Donaldson, and newly-appointed Engage PR communications director Lee Harrow and Engage communications advisor Kate Cruickshank

Engage PR, the Aberdeen-based communications agency, has added a highly experienced media industry professional to its business.

Lee Harrow has 24 years’ media and communications expertise and was previously a depute editor of the Dundee Evening Telegraph and head of a magazines division at publisher DC Thomson.

She has been appointed communications director at Engage PR.

Engage provides a broad range of services from strategic communications and PR advisory services to social media management and copywriting for clients across a number of sectors, including energy, property, legal, hospitality and finance. The firm’s portfolio includes ambitious start-ups through to FTSE-listed companies.

Lee said:

Lee was news editor at the Evening Express in Aberdeen before taking up the depute editor role at the Evening Telegraph. After working in communications at Abertay University, Lee was appointed editor-in-chief of a magazines division at DC Thomson, leading a team of 20 to produce creative and impactful products. She is a graduate of Aberdeen’s Robert Gordon University where she gained a degree in public policy & management.

Award-winning Engage’s services include communications strategy, reputation management, PR and media relations, marketing and copywriting support, social media  – with a strong focus on LinkedIn content - and project management.

The agency has written more than 180 shortlisted national and local business award entries for clients with 90 winning on the night. As well as press releases, other work includes project managing an Aberdeen energy service firm’s corporate video pitch to potential investors and the media launch of a commercial property development in Ireland.
