The Technical Analyst will join our team to provide users with outstanding technical support and training for our products, including StarSteer. The ideal candidate should have a passion to provide technical demos and trainings for our clients. We are looking for a client-focused individual who works well in a fast-paced environment, and who has a technical background in the geosciences.
Responsibilities:
- Provide Technical sales & workflow presentations to clients (online and in person).
- Onsite support and multi-day trainings with clients with some travel required.
- Customer Technical Support (phone, email) including possible calls during evenings and weekends.
- Supporting our sales team with engaging technical demonstrations.
- Tracking of client’s bugs and new features requests.
- Other tasks related to all above.
Requirements:
- 4-year degree in Earth Sciences or Engineering.
- Intermediate to Advanced ability with StarSteer geosteering software.
- Strong knowledge of drilling operations and operations geology workflows.
- Geologic knowledge of a variety of North American plays and play types.
- Strong communication skills, both written and spoken; experience creating and delivering presentations.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft office products and Google Docs.
Additional beneficial experience:
- Working knowledge of Python.
- Experience with geoscience software (Petrel, Kingdom, GeoGraphix, etc).
- Computer science and/or IT troubleshooting experience.
- Customer service experience.
