ABERDEEN Renewable Energy Group (AREG) is looking to recruit three new team members to strengthen the support it offers its rapidly growing membership community and its work to promote the North-east of Scotland as a world-leading destination for producing and using renewable energy.
The positions, which include an operations manager, business development executive, and administrator, will support AREG in its next stage of development and enhance its offering to its 280-plus members to help them take advantage of renewable energy opportunities.
AREG has seen a significant increase in membership in the last two years, which reflects North-east businesses’ desire to capitalise on growing momentum for a just energy transition and an ambition for the region to be a globally recognised integrated energy cluster.
The openings include:
AREG Operations Manager will have responsibility for the day-to-day management of AREG, its staff, and contractors, implementing the business plan, and securing grant and sponsorship funding. The post is full-time although part-time hours will be considered for the right candidate.
The AREG Business Development Executive will be responsible for identifying and securing funding opportunities for AREG and driving membership growth. The post is full-time although part-time hours will be considered for the right candidate.
The AREG Administrator will be the first point of contact for receiving and responding to email, website, telephone, and postal inquiries, research and support funding applications, schedule meetings, membership databases, support colleagues, and the AREG Board. The post is part-time.
Jean Morrison, Chair of AREG said:
“We are privileged to have a diverse and talented group of renewable industry leaders at the helm of our not-for-profit organisation, and we anticipate that the individuals who fill these new roles will add significant value to AREG at this important time for the energy sector as we work together to achieve net zero targets.”
We look forward to receiving applications from a wide range of individuals who are passionate about transition and AREG’s vision to be a leading accelerator of the transition to renewable energy and enabling the supply chain to access opportunities in the UK and overseas.”
