Summary

C&C Reservoirs seeks a Graduate Geoscientist to join their team. The Company was formed over 25 years ago to collect, standardize and synthesize data on the world’s most important fields and reservoirs. We provide our subscribers with field evaluation reports, a digital knowledge base, search tools and a suite of powerful data analytics tools, all underpinned by a pioneering classification system. All of these are delivered through our cloud-based subscription service, DAKS™ (Digital Analogs Knowledge System).

The Graduate Geoscientist will gather and analyze technical data and record the relevant information in our in-house digital Research Library. This information is used as a starting point for the C&C Reservoirs Report Writing Process. The Graduate Geoscientist’s ability to find relevant information and present it in a way that can be easily and accurately used by the senior Geoscientists and Reservoir Engineers is crucial.

With offices in Beijing, Houston and Reading, the Company has continuously expanded our products and services. Our knowledgebase of over 1500 proven fields and reservoirs has been analyzed by our highly experienced geoscientists and reservoir engineers. This knowledgebase has been trusted by super-majors, national and state oil companies and small independents, and is used as an essential tool for testing their exploration and production hypotheses and increasing confidence in their E&P decisions.

The Company wishes to accelerate the growth of our analogue studies. This role would enable a higher rate of updated information to be added to our DAKS knowledgebase. The role would require a variety of research including online and in-house libraries. The role would best suit a geoscientist who has a broad range of technical skills, pays close attention to detail, and can quickly analyze written articles to determine quality and usefulness.

You will be working within a small team while being supported and mentored by a larger team of geologists and engineers. This role will give you an opportunity to expand your geoscience understanding of oil and gas fields and exploration, production and development activities worldwide.
