Fécamp project reaches its completion with the final shipment of the last 3 offshore towers

14/11/2023

Yesterday marked the last shipment of our tower sections belonging to the 35 turbines for the offshore wind farm “Parc éolien en mer de Fécamp” that we manufactured in our Avilés facilities and that will be located between 13 and 24 km off the coast of Normandy.

The moment of shipment is probably one of the most critical and crucial, when the pieces leave our facilities for their final destination for their journey to being. This represents the culmination of a rigorous and careful project that involves a committed team that drive each project forward.

Fécamp will produce electricity for some 770,000 households. It will contribute to the French target of 40% renewable energy by 2030. The completion of this project marks another major milestone for Windar Renovables and a step towards a sustainable transformation of the energy sector.

We remain committed to our sustainability strategy that outlines our long-term goals for combating climate change and its effects.
