The Offshore Decommissioning Conference has returned with a bigger and better agenda along with enhanced networking opportunities specifically designed to bring together a wide spectrum of oil and gas companies including small supply chain companies, contractors and many of the large operators.

As well as ample networking opportunities during the coffee and buffet lunch breaks, the event will include a networking drinks reception on Monday, 26 November, kindly sponsored by Squibb Group, followed by a ‘tastes from around the world’ buffet dinner.
 
The 27 November will include a pre-gala dinner drinks reception, kindly sponsored by Arup, and an excellent three course gala dinner featuring pre-dinner speaker Paralympic Nordic skier, Scott Meenagh.

The 2018 conference, run jointly by Decom North Sea and Oil & Gas UK, will take place from 26 – 28 November at the Fairmont Hotel, St Andrews.

The decommissioning market is growing steadily and is likely to be worth £1.8 billion per annum on average over the next decade (£2 billion in 2017). The UK supply chain has the skills and equipment to compete for over 80 per cent of the total decommissioning scope forecast over the next ten years, presenting the UK industry with a major opportunity to develop world-class decommissioning capabilities.

With these opportunities in mind, the 2018 conference will encompass several sessions focused on the latest decommissioning updates, trends and case studies. Details of the individual sessions and keynote presentations will be shared in due course.

The key objective of the conference is to bring a wide spectrum of oil and gas companies into one room; small supply chain companies, contractors and many of the large operators. Previous conferences have shown attendees to be actively involved and willing to contribute and discuss the challenges and opportunities associated with offshore oil and gas decommissioning in an open and engaging atmosphere.
