The Turkish Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources has launched a 1GW onshore wind tender.
Projects on offer will be built at four locations across the country: the Balikesir, Canakkale, Aydin and Mugla provinces on the western coast of Turkey.
Each project location will have a capacity of 250MW. The tender ceiling price has been set at US$0.055/kWh and applications will be accepted until 7 March 2019.
Power purchase agreements with the successful projects will cover a 15-year period.
The auction is Turkey’s second for onshore wind, the first being held in August 2017.
