Fragomen, the world’s leading provider of immigration services, and the Global Underwater Hub (GUH), a key organisation supporting multiple underwater sectors, are hosting an information session on immigration policy on 5 November in Newcastle.

The event, ‘Navigating the UK Immigration Regime for the Underwater Sectors’, will address recent policy updates and outline how businesses in the sector can recruit from abroad and ensure compliance amidst changing regulations.

Kelly Hardman, Edinburgh-based Senior Manager and Kathleen O’Donnell, Director

The event features Kelly Hardman, Edinburgh-based Senior Manager and Kathleen O’Donnell, Director – both who advise Fragomen energy and maritime clients on immigration strategy and programme development.

Hardman said:
“In a rapidly changing regulatory environment, firms face growing challenges in managing skilled worker recruitment and handling sponsorship requirements. This event will provide participants with key information on the latest developments in UK immigration, helping companies make informed decisions and remain competitive in the global market. Our goal is to equip companies with the knowledge and tools to navigate the evolving rules while supporting their international teams.”

Attendees will benefit from an overview of recent adjustments to visa policies, practical tips for staying compliant and expert guidance on securing and retaining skilled professionals and will have an opportunity to ask specific questions of the presenters.

The event (9.30am to 11.30am) is free for GUH members, while non-members can attend for £30. The venue is the Event Studio at GUH’s premises in Newcastle upon Tyne.
