Weir Oil & Gas Dubai has signed a multi-year contract in Iraq totaling more than $5 million USD with a major Iraq JV. The contract secures the provision of rotating equipment overhaul services to support the client’s operations.

Deciding factors in the deal included Weir Oil & Gas’ capabilities in Iraq, positive past and existing contract performance with the client, local content, in-house engineering and a comprehensive international facility near the customer’s sites. This contract further consolidates Weir’s Rig-to-Grid capabilities in the Middle East.

In the EMEA region, Weir Oil & Gas provides provide in-country service and support through Centers of Engineering and Manufacturing Excellence, which allow the company to manufacture and distribute Rotating Equipment parts and wellhead equipment faster due to its proximity to operators in the region. 

Weir is focused on supporting its customers’ current operations with offerings that lead the industry when it comes to maintenance process optimization services in brownfield/greenfield oil and gas, power and industrial facilities, streamlining maintenance costs, and reducing total cost of ownership. Weir Oil & Gas’ RE/Turbo machinery offers brownfield rotating equipment solutions to increase asset life and reduce cost of ownership. Weir also leverages its pressure control and oilfield services offerings in order to be the preferred supplier of pressure containment products and services for drilling and production operators in the Middle East, assuring best-in-class quality, delivery and responsiveness.
