Nostra Terra Oil and Gas Changes Name to Buccaneer Energy
Nostra Terra, the AIM listed international oil and gas exploration and production company focused on producing assets in Texas, USA, has changed its name to Buccaneer Energy plc.

Buccaneer Energy’s assets and operations are focused on low-risk exploration and developmental drilling in the prolific Permian Basin, Texas and East Texas.

Buccaneer target basins that have proven to be long-lived, liquids-rich production areas. Through the application of modern techniques of drilling and multi-stage fracture completions, the company reach into compartmentalised reservoirs and greatly improve the economics of multiple formations. Becuse much is already known about the rock properties and production profiles, much of the geological risk is mitigated. These methods have created exciting new growth opportunities in well-understood reservoirs.

The Permian Basin is a large, prolific oil and natural gas-producing region located primarily in West Texas and Southeast New Mexico. It spans an area that is approximately 250 miles wide and 300 miles long, covering about 75,000 square miles. It’s known for its deep and thick deposits of Permian-aged rocks, including shales and limestones. The basin is characterized by three main structural elements: the Midland Basin, the Central Basin Platform, and the Delaware Basin. It’s one of the largest and most prolific oil and gas-producing regions in the United States.
