Aberdeenshire headquartered surface preparation specialist, eBlast, part of the eGroup is marking its 25th year in business with a series of contract awards totalling a 7-figure sum. These recent wins reinforce the company’s position as a leading provider of surface preparation to the energy and infrastructure sectors both in the UK and internationally.
The new contracts span major energy projects in the UK and overseas, including Baku and the Norwegian North Sea, underlining eBlast’s growing role as a trusted partner in the global energy sector. Current projects involve large scale work on riser, caissons, and specialist pipework.
At its state-of-the-art facility in Kintore, eBlast applies extensive protective coatings to a raft of different components destined for offshore use. The company is also supporting high-profile developments for leading operators including Shell, Aker BP, Equinor, Harbour Energy, Total Energies and Exxon Mobil, with work ranging from critical offshore assemblies to one of the largest subsea structures ever fabricated in Aberdeen.
The continued growth of the business this year has also allowed eBlast to expand their team, bringing the total headcount of the business to 90.
Sister company, eTest, specialists in non destructive testing, also celebrates their 10th anniversary this year and have completed an impressive 10,000 jobs since opening.
All of these projects are being delivered through eGroup’s fully integrated model, combining surface preparation, specialist coatings and non-destructive testing, ensuring quality, efficiency, and technical excellence at every stage.
Scott Duguid, Managing Director of eGroup said:
