Ex-Deloitte Director Returns To UK On A Mission To Future Proof British Business
A trailblazing tech leader is turning his passion for computer engineering into a mission to bring AI to the masses — revolutionising the way businesses can make the most of advanced machine intelligence.
Mac McEldon brings more than 30 years of international experience in the tech sector to new UK disruptor CiberAI. The accredited Agentic AI and Azure Cloud specialist returns to his roots via Zurich, Washington and New York with a promise to drive efficiency, improve quality and deliver real world business value.
“From an early age I had a passion for computer engineering,” Mac explains. “My career’s always been linked to that.
“I see clearly how AI can positively impact businesses and bring transformative value to those businesses. But it’s an incremental process — a drive for greater efficiency involves increased complexity and I’m the trusted advisor who provides clarity.
“CiberAI can separate practical realities from an ever growing hype cycle.”
CiberAI, a certified Microsoft partner, is headquartered in North East England — in the heart of fast-emerging software city Sunderland.
Mac is launching CiberAI alongside brother Paul McEldon (Chief Executive of the North East BIC) and content strategist Chris March. The experienced senior management team is committed to bringing new energy to the region’s already buoyant tech sector.
“I started out in London and then worked across Europe in aviation, oil and gas,” he adds. “I delivered contracts for Gategroup in Zurich and Shell Italia in Rome. I switched from public sector to private sector and never ever stopped learning.
“And then — as a career consultant — I moved to the US and helped some of the biggest businesses in the world onboard cloud technology and AI processes that led to millions of dollars in savings.
“But it was always the plan to return to Sunderland and contribute to the growth of the North East at what’s such an exciting time for the region.”
Through next-generation AI and agentic automation, CiberAI helps business owners to unlock new value, accelerate innovation and lead in their industries.
The firm’s sector leading AgenticFlow™ structure is an AI adoption framework designed to help enterprises become AI-ready and realise value quickly.
“If businesses want to build, then AgenticFlow™ lays the foundation,” adds dual UK-US citizen Mac “It’s the culmination of matured thought leadership built up over decades.
“AgenticFlow™ is the bricks and mortar you need to ensure your business is future proof and in a position to benefit from the many positives of AI.”
Mac has spent the best part of a decade in senior leadership roles with global consultancy giant Deloitte, cementing his reputation as an AI leader across The Pond.
Prior to that he was embedded in the Microsoft Azure forerunner ‘Project Red Dog’. An early adopter and developer of what would become a multi-billion dollar product, Mac’s status as a tech disruptor is secure.
A mentor at heart, he’s worked with — and gained certifications from — tech breeding grounds Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Chicago School of Business, Purdue University and more.
And now the UK is set to benefit from Mac’s hands on expertise, enthusiasm and eye for an opportunity.
“I still have family and friends here and I keep being told that the region is on the cusp of something really special when it comes to tech and the creative industries,” he adds. “I want CiberAI to be part of that regeneration by helping businesses to fulfil their potential and to grow at pace.”
