Risk and Uncertainty Assessment of Geothermal Projects

03/09/2025

Date: September 29 - October 1
Time: 8:00AM - 5:00PM (GMT+3)
Location: Green Park Ankara Hotel, Kızılırmak Mah. 1443. Cd. Çukurambar, Ankara, 06510, Turkey

In connection with the 61st CEEC Event in Ankara, a three-day Geothermal Course will be organized by Rose Subsurface Assessment.

This three-day course, for geologists and engineers involved in evaluating geothermal projects, covers fundamentals and provides participants with an understanding of risk and uncertainty. A method for probabilistic assessment of geothermal projects is presented (recently published in Energies). Case studies show how risk and uncertainty can be applied to real-world geothermal projects. In a set of exercises, participants apply the concepts and tools learned to perform a technical and economic evaluation, and ranking, of a set of geothermal blocks.

The course has been developed jointly by the geothermal consulting firm Geological Engineering Network (GEN) and Rose Subsurface Assessment.

Fees:

  • Until 5 September 5th: € 1000
  • From September 6th: € 1500 (discounted rate for CEEC members: € 1300)
