Marine and engineering consultancy Global Maritime (GM) has announced the signing of a new Framework Agreement (FWA) with Van Oord.

Under this agreement, Global Maritime will provide a wide range of engineering consultancy services, with particular emphasis on Leg Penetration Analysis, Zonation Assessments, Geohazard Risk Assessments, and Site-Specific Assessments.

These scopes of work will be delivered through close collaboration between Global Maritime’s structural engineering team and GM Geo’s geotechnical specialists, ensuring integrated expertise across complex offshore projects.

The framework covers consultancy and technical support for operations and maintenance (O&M) campaigns, as well as wind turbine generator (WTG) and foundation installation campaigns.

Global Maritime and Van Oord share a strong track record of collaboration, having successfully delivered multiple projects over the past decade with MPI Offshore UK, a Van Oord subsidiary. This long-standing relationship, built on technical competence, responsiveness, and trust, has paved the way for this continued partnership.

As part of the new FWA, Van Oord has also begun utilising additional engineering services, such as Global Maritime’s Opsim software, further broadening the scope of cooperation. Notably, the new agreement extends Global Maritime’s involvement beyond the UK, opening the door to increased project collaboration with Van Oord Netherlands.
