World leader in AI Seismic Interpretation solutions, Geoteric, has announced the appointment of a new CFO, Olav Salte Hovstad. 

Olav holds a Master’s degree in Applied Economics and Finance from Copenhagen Business School and brings with him a strong background in corporate strategy, financial planning and financial technology (FinTech), further strengthening Geoteric’s leadership in its period of growth.

Based in Geoteric’s Stavanger office, Olav has served as Interim CFO since March during which time he has played a key role in advancing the company’s financial and strategic objectives. Prior to joining Geoteric, Olav was a Senior Consultant at PwC Norway, where he gained extensive experience in financial advisory, performance improvement and organisational transformation across a wide range of industries.

Based in Geoteric’s Stavanger office, Olav has served as Interim CFO since March 2025
