New CarbonCuts CEO to Lead CCS Business Into a New Phase

13/11/2025

CarbonCuts has appointed Morten Rosenløv Jensen as new CEO. Together with a dedicated team of professionals and specialists, his main task will be to lead the company into a new phase.

CarbonCuts was founded on the idea of contributing to the green transition by storing CO2 in the Danish underground. In three years, CarbonCuts has grown from a small startup to one of the leading CCS companies in Denmark with 25 employees and an extensive exploration program in Project Ruby on Lolland.

With his insight and experience, Morten Rosenløv Jensen will work with CarbonCuts’ dedicated team to ensure the continued development of Project Ruby and realize the company’s vision for the future. This includes continued development of concepts for safe, secure and profitable storage of CO2 underground.

Morten Rosenløv Jensen brings extensive management experience from INEOS, Ørsted and most recently Green Hydrogen Systems. He holds a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from DTU with specialization in refining, engineering and gas treatment from IFP School in France.

Morten Rosenløv Jensen will take over as CEO mid-November 2025 after board member Maj Wendorff has served as interim CEO since July 1 this year when CarbonCuts’ founder, Ken Wesnæs, chose to step down as CEO.

Maj Wendorff will assist Morten Rosenløv Jensen for the rest of 2025 to ensure a smooth transition and will also continue as a board member. With Morten Rosenløv Jensen as CEO, CarbonCuts looks forward to continuing the positive development and collaboration with all stakeholders.
