A world-class name in specialist industrial services, specialist waste management services and process decontamination has invested another six-figure sum in further uplevelling its capabilities.
Denholm Environmental Limited (a Denholm Energy subsidiary) has invested over £150,000 in converting three ride-on, in-tank dozers to being fully remotely operated. The original ride-on technology was developed to the company’s exacting specifications with the recent enhancements designed to remove the requirement for manned entry when tanks are being cleaned.
The hydraulically driven dozers complete the same task to the same high level but significantly increase safety for specially trained operatives in the process, keeping them outside of the tank. They are designed for large diameter, flat bottomed storage tanks and can be deployed anywhere in the world to meet the needs of Denholm Environmental’s growing global client base.

Commenting on the investment, Denholm Environmental Managing Director Brian Ritchie said:
“This is a tried and tested system that we have been using for a long time – the major advancement is removing the need for manned entry and that is a hugely important stride forward for the safety of our people.
“The potential for this to be used across many sectors and in numerous locations makes it an important part of our future, and we look forward to the remotely operated kit becoming a centrepiece of our portfolio.”
