At the Libya Energy Summit 2026, NOC Chairman Engineer Masoud Suleman emphasized the substantial progress Libya has made in oil and gas production. He pointed out that this advancement occurred despite the ongoing challenges, particularly global price volatility.
He noted that the NOC’s strategy targets an initial production increase to 1.6 million barrels per day, with a subsequent goal of reaching 2 million barrels per day in the medium term.
During his meeting with representatives from various international and local oil companies at the Libya Energy Summit, he stressed that the NOC is a professional and independent institution that places Libya’s interests above everything else.
This summit, themed “Infrastructure and Investment Driving Energy Growth,” focuses on infrastructure investments designed to enhance Libya’s energy production capacity and attract international capital for investment in the country.
On the sidelines of the summit, high-level roundtable meetings will take place between Libyan officials and leading American and international companies specializing in oil, gas, and energy. These meetings will discuss opportunities for cooperation and partnership in the energy sector, along with bilateral meetings between investors and government institutions.
