Parents and children across Aberdeen city and shire can win a free day of science family fun if they can find a hidden family ticket somewhere in the North-east during the school summer holidays.
Twice a week for six weeks, starting from Wednesday, July 1, the team at Aberdeen Science Centre will hide a family pass to the centre somewhere within Aberdeen or Aberdeenshire.
Video clues to the tickets’ locations will be shared on the centre’s social media channels each week, encouraging families to keep their eyes peeled as they search for the prizes.
The lucky winners can take their family pass to the centre to redeem free entry for two adults and two children or one adult and three children. All other members of a visiting group will be charged the standard admission price.
Lynda McConnach, public and digital co-ordinator at Aberdeen Science Centre, said: “We want to start the school summer break off with an exciting challenge for the people of Aberdeen and the North-east of Scotland. Twice a week, our team will hide a free family pass to Aberdeen Science Centre somewhere in the city centre or shire.
“The summer holidays are an excellent opportunity for families to spend fun and meaningful time together and by following clues posted on our social media channels, families can win a trip to Aberdeen Science Centre to enjoy a day of hands-on exploration and discovery. We wish the best of luck to all those who will be searching across the summer!”
Clues to the tickets’ locations will be shared online from Wednesday, July 1 until Wednesday, August 12.
To redeem free entry to Aberdeen Science Centre, the ticket must be shown to the centre’s reception staff. Online booking is not available for the competition day passes.
Only one prize may be claimed per person. Tickets are also non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Tickets must be redeemed between Wednesday, July 01 and Wednesday, September 31 for winners to be granted free entry to the centre.
Each ticket will be hidden in a safe and easily accessible location and families are advised not to endanger themselves in search of the prizes. Aberdeen Science Centre reserves the right to amend or cancel the competition if circumstances beyond its control make it necessary.
